week 52: hannah and stephanie’s pick – New York Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache and Chocolate Crumb Topping

week 9: stephanie’s pick – Green Tea Cheesecake

hannah and i gave up chocolate for lent, so it kind of limits me in my recipe selection. these didn’t exactly turn out the way i planned, but there’s always room for improvisation in the kitchen. hannah woke me up pretty early this morning to make these and they ended up tasting great, though they were pretty ugly coming out of the oven – the middle had sunk in and it just didn’t look like the photos on the website. i had to dress them up so that they would look presentable to photograph. but they fed at least 10 people today who all ate the ugly ones and still said they tasted good!

week 7: stephanie’s pick – Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

sorry, i am so predictable – of course i chose red velvet for valentine’s day. i’ve had these bookmarked for a long time, so i figured it was a good time to try them! they were the perfect combination of my two favorite desserts, red velvet cupcakes and cheesecake. i’ve eaten a lot more of these than i’d like to admit…
